  Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary
The Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary offers a disabled riding facility for children, who can benefit greatly from the gentle nature of the donkeys. Riding sessions can be arranged during the day, evening and weekend - subject to demand and availability of instructors and volunteer helpers. Children must be aged 3 years or above and weigh no more than 6 stone - 38kg.

  Andalucian Giant Donkeys
The Iberian Rare Breeds Trust. The Andalucian Giant Donkey is one of the ancient breeds of European donkeys. The Jacks can reach 16hh (1.60m) to the wither - the same size as a large horse. According to a survey prepared by the Dept. of Veterinary Science of the University of Cordoba, there may be as few as 150 of these amazing giants left.

  ACOSA - American Council of Spotted Asses
A non-profit corporation dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Spotted Ass. While all asses can come in the spotted pattern ("pinto"), the term American Spotted Ass is a trademark for those donkeys (asses) registered with the American Council of Spotted Asses (ACOSA), which is trying to establish foundation stock for spotted asses.

  The English and Irish Donkey Society of Australia Inc.
A society for registering English, Irish and Miniature donkeys in Australia and New Zealand. To maintain breeding records, a Stud Book was formed for Pure Bred donkeys and a register for Part Bred English/Irish donkeys, a supplementary Register of Identification mares was also started.

  Donkey Breeds - Abyssinian Donkey
This breed is found throughout Ethiopia. They are usually slate-gray but are occasionally found in chestnut-brown. The breed is similar to Sudanese Pack donkey. Also, the Abyssinian Donkey is known as Ethiopian Donkey.
