In 1992 The American Donkey and Mule Society had approximately 1,573 mules registered in their registry. • MMR - Molokai Mule Ride Inc This Molokai Mule Ride tour is adventurous activity in Hawaii takes visitors down the steep hand-carved Kalaupapa Trail to Awakua Beach and the Kalaupapa National Historical Park. Hinnies are just the opposite - a stallion horse crossed to a donkey jennet. For all purposes, hinnies and mules are classified and shown together under the general term Mule. Mules ears are usually somewhat smaller than a donkeys, longer but the same shape as the horse parents. • Horsefriends Large Animal Rescue At Horsefriends, we work to rescue and rehabilitate large animals, including horses, donkeys and mules. We focus our efforts on animals that are suffering from neglect, abuse or malnutrition. In addition, we care for both the physical and emotional needs of the animals in the hope that they can be placed in new homes. Location: United States, Arizona, Queen Valley • Miniature and Hunting Mules of Missouri Miniature mules are 50 inches tall or less. Hunting mules can be any height, but those carrying adult riders are about 50 inches or taller. Size is the only visible difference, as both groups are bred alike and perform in about the same activities. Height is used mainly for show classification.
