• Virginia Horsemens Association Formed for the purpose of promoting the racing industry in Virginia. Membership information, ask the expert, classifieds ads, photo gallery, message board, tracks, race training tips, links. • Kentucky Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association The HBPA, established in 1940, is an organization of Owners and Trainers, approximately 40,000 nationally in 23 states and Canada, and over 6,000 in Kentucky. The association is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of Owners and Trainers volunteering their time and elected by the membership every three years. • National Racing Compact Created to establish uniform requirements for the national licensing of participants in live, pari-mutuel horse racing to ensure that all participants who are licensed meet a uniform standard of honesty and integrity. • New Mexico Horsemen's Association An incorporated non-profit organization, the New Mexico Horsemen's Association was formed in 1966 for the purpose of promoting the welfare and health of licensed owners, trainers and grooms connected with horse racing in New Mexico. • Texas Thoroughbred Association Founded in 1955 by a group of Dallas businessmen, TTA has evolved into America's largest state breed association of its kind, with more than 2,000 members. Offers services and programs designed to promote Thoroughbred breeding, owning and racing in Texas. In addition, the TTA publishes the award-winning magazine, The Texas Thoroughbred. • The Jockey Club of United States The Jockey Club is the breed registry for all Thoroughbred horses in North America. Responsible for maintaining The American Stud Book, which includes all Thoroughbreds foaled in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico as well as Thoroughbreds imported into those countries from nations around the world that maintain similar Thoroughbred registries. • Kentucky Racing Health and Welfare Fund A charitable, non-profit organization that helps certain eligible individuals in the Kentucky thoroughbred racing industry who demonstrate need. It was founded in 1978 by an act of the Kentucky legislature. It provides benevolent funding toward the payment of medical, hospital, vision and funeral expenses - it does not provide insurance benefits. • National Thoroughbred Racing Association The National Thoroughbred Racing Association is the sports league for Thoroughbred Horse Racing in the United States. News on the latest races and results, media coverage, racetracks, and much more. Members of the NTRA include horse racing tracks, horse owners, horse breeders, horse trainers, jockeys, and veterinarians. • Northwest Alliance of Racing Arabian Breeders The Northwest Alliance of Racing Arabian Breeders is a group dedicated to the promotion of Arabian Horse Racing and sponsors of the Quadra Crown Events. • The American Harness Drivers Club, Inc The American Harness Drivers Club organizes amateur races at major racetracks in New Jersey. The AHDC conducts races at Freehold Raceway and The Meadowlands. Each year the AHDC organizes two pacing series at Freehold Raceway.
