The FSBOA maintains a registry of Florida-bred Standardbred horses to promote and determine the eligibility of such for Florida-bred preferred races. • North American Shagya Arabian Society Shagya breeding in America officially began in 1986 with the founding of the North American Shagya-Arabian Society. NASS is the only North American member of the International Shagya-Araber Gesellschaft (ISG) which is the international body supporting the breeding and preservation of the Shagya-Arabian breed. Location: United States • Spanish-Norman Horse Registry, Inc. The Spanish-Norman blends the genes of the Andalusian of Spain and the Percheron of France. The Spanish-Norman horse must carry at least 50% Andalusian blood. At present there are seventy-one Andalusian stallions located across the United States and Canada that have been registered as foundation sires of the Spanish-Norman Horse Registry, Inc. MSFHA takes the position of promoting all Morgan types and disciplines, with particular emphasis and promotion of the inherent four beat gaits found within the present registry of the Morgan breed. Location: United States • Alberta Standardbred Horse Association The Alberta Standardbred Horse Association was formed to represent and protect the best interests of Standardbred industry participants and bring about a closer, more understanding relationship between members, racetracks, racing associations, governing bodies and the public. • North American Single-Footing Horse Association & Registry The North American Single-Footing Horse Association was started as a performance based registry. The goals were set by avid trail riders and ranch owners who log thousands of miles a year on horses under various conditions. Its membership consist of owners, trainers and drivers of harness horses participating in Maryland, as well as other interested parties involved in the Standardbred racing industry.
