Attends many of the local horse auctions and works with other rescue groups across the US and Canada where foals of the PMU industry are sold. Most of these foals are sold to killer/buyers that purchase them for meat to be sold to foreign markets.

  Friends of Horses Rescue & Adoption
FOHRAA is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation dedicated to horse rescue, adoption and education based in metropolitan Denver, Colorado. We place many foals and horses in adoptive loving homes including PMU foals, retired thoroughbred racers, and a number of horses being auctioned for human consumption. In 2003, FOHRAA placed over 300 horses and foals in adoptive homes.
