• Second Chance Horse Refuge SCHR is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to rehabilitating, training and locating stable, loving homes for abused and neglected horses. Our Mission is: to provide refuge, medical care, nutrition and training; to educate horse owners on the proper care, protection and maintenance; to protect horses from cruelty, neglect and ignorance. The Lost & Found Horse Rescue Foundation (L&FHRF) has successfully placed more than 500 horses, averaging 100 per year since 1997. We handle several horse breeds along with ponies, donkeys and mules for possible adoption.
