• Front Range Equine Rescue Front Range Equine Rescue is an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to stopping the abuse and neglect of horses. A primary goal of FRER is to educate new, potential, and existing horse owners on basic horse care topics such as equine nutrition, first aid, farrier care, alternative therapies, and natural horsemanship techniques. Attends many of the local horse auctions and works with other rescue groups across the US and Canada where foals of the PMU industry are sold. Most of these foals are sold to killer/buyers that purchase them for meat to be sold to foreign markets. Location: United States, Colorado, Falcon • Friends of Horses Rescue & Adoption FOHRAA is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation dedicated to horse rescue, adoption and education based in metropolitan Denver, Colorado. We place many foals and horses in adoptive loving homes including PMU foals, retired thoroughbred racers, and a number of horses being auctioned for human consumption. In 2003, FOHRAA placed over 300 horses and foals in adoptive homes. Our organization has farms based in Colorado with Nationwide adoption & rehabilitation. BFAS is a special project of Romero Wildlife Sanctuary Non-profit 501(c)3.
