A fully incorporated 501(c)3, approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a nonprofit organization. It is the mission of the Horse Protection Society of North Carolina Inc. to make the world a better place for horses through education, rescue, and rehabilitation. HPS provides a sanctuary of last resort for unwanted, neglected, and abused equine.

  Nokota Horse Conservancy
The Nokota Horse Conservancy is a nonprofit organization established in 1999 to preserve the unique and historical Nokota Horse. These wild horses of the northern plains have inhabited the area encompassing Theodore Roosevelt National Park since at least the 1880's. The vast majority of the remaining Nokota horses currently survive on the overburdened Kuntz Ranch.

  USERL - United States Equine Rescue League
A 501(c)3 tax-exempt charity. USERL acquires horses from a variety of sources. In the beginning, the League accepted donations of equines. Now, having established a respectable reputation within the equine community, USERL shelters equines that have been seized by law enforcement authorities and those surrendered by neglectful and/or abusive owners.
