  Saarloos Wolfhond Pictures and Information
The Saarloos Wolfhond breed is named after its creator Leendert Saarloos and was recognized as a new canine breed by the "Raad van Beheer op Kynologisch Gebied" in the Netherlands in 1975 and by the F.C.I. in 1981. The Saarloos Wolfdog is a powerful, wolfish coarse-haired dog. The male stands 65 to 75 cms, the female stands 60 to 70 cms.

  Saarloos Wolfhond - Presentation of the Breed
This breed is called after its creator Leendert Saarloos and was recognized as a new canine breed by the "Raad van Beheer op Kynologisch Gebied" in the Netherlands in 1975 and by the F.C.I. in 1981. Leendert Saarloos crossed the female European wolf "Fleur" from the Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam with the German Sheperd male "Gerhard van de Fransenum".

  Chien loup de Saarloos (Saarloos Wolfhond)
Le chien loup de Saarloos est un chien puissant, lupoide, au poil dur et droit (en forme de baton). Son ossature ovale est puissante, mais elle ne peut etre lourde. Il est bati harmonieusement et possede de longues pattes, sans pour autant donner l'impression d'etre haut sur pattes. Les males et les femelles se distinguent aisement par leur apparence et leur allure.

  Origin & History of the Pyrenean Mastiff
The dog we know as the Pyrenean Mastiff belongs to the breed of very big molosus dogs. These dogs were the guardians of the Aragonien sheep herds protecting them from predators such as the wolf and bear. The Mastiff from Navarra and Cataluna are included in the Pyrenean Mastiff of today. They were also used to protect houses, farms and castles.

  Pumi Breed Standard
The Pumi is a herding dog of Terrier type. Also suitable for herding larger types of animals. The Pumi came into being during the 17th to 18th century in Hungary by crossbreeding the primitive Puli with imported German and French dogs of Terrier type with prick ears. It has been recognised as an independent breed since the beginning of the 20th century.

Origin: Aragon and Navarra Pyrenees, Spain. Classification FCI: Group II (Pinscher and Schnauzer type. Molossian and Swiss Mountain and Cattle Dogs). Section 2.2. (Molossian. Mountain type). Without working trial. Utilization: Guard and defence. Any specimen that is too shy, nervous or uneven in temperament must be excluded from breeding.

  Polish Tatra Sheepdog Information
This breed originated in the Tatra Mountains of Poland. These dogs were used to protect herds from prey such as bears and wolves. The Tatra is a very strong dog standing an average of 26 inches at the shoulder and weighing up to 135 pounds. Its thick coat comes in white and cream colors. This large dog is surprisingly gentle and makes a good family dog
