• Australian Stud Saddle Pony Society The Australian Stud Saddle Pony is the Sports Pony of the future. We currently have branches in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia with a promotional group in the Sydney/Canberra area. The Society is rapidly expanding and will soon cover all of New South Wales with moves also now being made into Queensland and Tasmania. Thus we provide UK type Shetland Ponies to families of disabled children, completely without charge, for the lifetime use of the child. It runs a Spring and a Summer breed show, a Performance show, an Annual Points Scheme, a Midlands and South show, an Annual Pleasure Ride and an Annual Driving Rally. A newsletter is published for Members in the Spring and Autumn. All sires and dams are recorded in the stud book. It is also a function as a register of all births of Connemara Ponies throughout the 32 counties of Ireland. This book encapsulates the breed standard and rules for the parent society and all societies worldwide.
