Three weekends each year, Waredaca hosts United States Eventing Association recognized competitions—late May/early June, early September and late October are the usual times these are scheduled in accordance with the USA Equestrian national schedule. These are major competitions that feature dressage, cross country jumping and show jumping.

•   Marlborough Horse Trials
The Marlborough Horse Trials is an exciting equestrian event held each fall at Rosaryville State Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Horses-and-riders compete in a triathalon of cross-country jumping, stadium jumping, and dressage. The 1017-acre Rosaryville State Park is located in southern Prince George's County, about 20 miles southeast of Washington, D.C.
